Le Téléphone (The Telephone) is a striking print created by Salvador Dalí in 1975. In this work, Dalí transforms the simple, everyday telephone into a surreal and imaginative object — something both familiar and strange. The piece reflects his fascination with dreams, symbols, and the hidden meanings behind ordinary things.

The telephone appears often in Dalí’s art. For him, it symbolized communication, connection, and sometimes desire. This print recalls his earlier Lobster Telephone, where Dalí combined humor and surrealism to surprise the viewer.

Printed on fine Arches paper using drypoint and stencil techniques, the work shows Dalí’s great technical skill and attention to detail. Published in Paris and hand-signed by the artist, it belongs to a limited edition of 450.

Le Téléphone represents Dalí’s late creative period — elegant, playful, and full of imagination. It captures his unique ability to turn ordinary objects into vivid symbols of the subconscious world.
